The independent, family-owned Scottish company employ close to 100 people in Tullamore, Clonmel and Dublin. They were convinced to splash out after the spirit came close to doubling its sales to 850,000 cases since 2005. The huge investment was made by the brand’s parent company William Grant and Sons. The new distillery will be able to produce 1.84 million litres or 1.5 million cases of whiskey each year. The distillery was built to meet growing international demand for Tullamore Dew, which has become the second best selling Irish whiskey in the world.Ĭonstruction of the plant created close to 200 jobs. is the worldís second largest Irish whiskey and sells in excess of 11 million bottles annually.
